Monitoring Sunu Band Battery Level - mysunuband

Monitoring Sunu Band Battery Level

To know the battery level of your device, tap twice on the touchpad while in Home Mode. You will get several pulses depending on the battery level; they go from 1 up to 5.

One pulse equals the minimum battery level, which would be a maximum of 20%. While five pulses equal about 100% of the battery. To make this easier, here are the details:

  • One pulse equals 20% or less.
  • Two pulses are similar to 40%.
  • Three pulses go around 60%.
  • Four pulses equal about 80%.
  • Five pulses mean that your battery is over 100%.

Moreover, when paired, Voice Service mentions your device’s exact battery level. You may check out your device’s battery level on your Sunu App on the My Sunu Band tab.

Tip: You may adjust the time format from the Settings tab on the Sunu App; select either 12-hour or 24-hour format.

Sunu Band Battery Tips

Sunu Band does not have a switch ON/OFF button. However, it enters a low power mode after a few seconds of inactivity to extend the battery life.

To activate Battery Saving Mode, press the Home Button and allow a few moments without pressing any other button. When paired, Voice Service will say “Battery Saving Mode.”

Even though Battery Saving Mode reduces battery consumption to its maximum, please note that Sunu Band continues to consume battery and decreases overnight. We recommend you regularly monitor your device’s battery level.

Battery Life + Battery Lifespan

“Battery life” is the time your device works before it needs to recharge.

Battery life varies depending on the usage and ranges from 5 hours when in continuous use to up to three days. The sonar sensor demands a fair amount of battery; take into account that when using Obstacle Detection for an extended period will decrease your battery level rapidly.

To maximize the battery life, ensure that your Sunu Band runs the latest version from the Sunu App and avoid exposure to extreme ambient temperatures. That is more than 95º and less than 40º F (35º C to 5º).

“Battery lifespan” is the amount of time your battery lasts until it needs to be replaced.

Sunu Band uses a rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery built for Sunu Band. Do not open the Sunu Band’s case; only engineers at Sunu will be able to replace the battery in some cases.
